This is a project made possible by the Ontario Ministry of Culture’s $15 Million Investment in Public Libraries.

Author Reading: Heather Hunter

On Tuesday, June 5th, the Cavan Monaghan Libraries will host author Heather Hunter at 7pm. Ms. Hunter is the author of the book Kimberley of Millpond and is the daughter of Bernice Thurman Hunter, who was the author of the Booky series. Kimberley of Millpond is based on life in Millbrook during the 1950's. This presentation will appeal to older children and adults. Books by both Hunters are available at both library branches.

Millbrook Branch: Tuesday, June 5th, 7pm.

 

 

Cavan Monaghan Library Book Club

Interested in joining the Library Book Club? The book club meets the last Tuesday evening of the month at the Bruce Johnston Branch. Overdrive audibooks and eBooks

Overdrive media can be used on the Kobo, Sony e-reader, Blackberry (including the Playbook) and Apple products as well as many generic e-readers and mp3 players. Specific guides have been produced for some of the e-readers. Kindles are not supported and no time-line is in place for when this feature will be available.

The Cavan Monaghan Libraries participate in the e-book collection maintained by Overdrive. This is a collection shared with other libraries in Ontario therefore you may encounter wait lists for popular titles.

 

Spring Season: Story Time at the Libraries!

Story Time continues with Julie Bullock!  Join us for Story Time on Thursdays at the Bruce Johnston Branch from 10am-10:45am, and on Fridays at the Millbrook Branch from 10am-10:45am. This FREE programme is recommended for ages 0-5.  Parents, grandparents, and caregivers are all welcome to attend. No registration is necessary.
